Henry in Monkton, only the married couple.
John in Monkton, 5 males over 15, 2 under 16, and 5 females.
1810 also shows a whole clan of Fergusons with about five different
spellings all in Addison Co., two Johns, Avoy, Elijah, Elisha, and Reuben.
(See reference above) There is a James in Caledonia Co. in 1810 and I saw
him in 1820, too. Maybe son or grandson of the David with the land grant.
VT 1820, all gone except for Deborah in Manchester, Bennington Co., p. 137,
as head of household, to be looked up.
I checked some other books they had re: Vermont, and I found a reference to
the John Ferguson in Monkton, Monkton Twp., Addison Co., VT. He was b. 1753
in NY. The information was provided by his g-grandson, and concerned only
the direct line to the g-grandson. No mention of Hezekiah. The line went
John> Elijah(b.NY)> Albert(b.VT)> Alfred, and they stayed in Starksboro in
Addison Co. I've seen references to Elijah with Elisha right next door.
This doesn't undo my earlier theory that VT Hezekiah might be a son of John.
After all, they liked Biblical names.
