At a court held for Nelson County the 28th day of December 1829 A
writing purporting to be the last will and testament of George C.
Ferguson decd. was this day produced in court and there being no
subscribing witness thereto Greenberry V. Bernard was sworn and deposed,
that he is well acquainted with the testators hand writing, and verily
believes the said writing and the name thereto subscribed, to be wholy
written by the testators own hand, whereupon, the said writing is
ordered to lie for further proof. And at a court held for said county
the 27th day of June 1836, the said writing was again produced in said
court and Reuben WEATHERS being sworn, deposed, that he is well
acquainted with the testators hand writing, and verily believe the said
writing and the name thereto subscribed, to be wholy written by the
testators own hand, whereupon, the said writing is ordered to be
recorded as the true last will and testament of said George C. Ferguson decd.
