"related to the Arnold's of Bemus Point, NY" Amos Sr. was soldier in war of 1812. The Early History of the Town of Ellicott mentions Amos Ferguson and son as good friends with Augustus Moon page 407. Article from Fenton Historical Society has parents and children listed Ellicot township land purchases: 1816 Augustus Moon, #37; 1821 Samuel Moon, #38; 1827 Gideon Mon, #36; 1815 Amos Ferguson, #50; 1827 Stephen A Ferguson, #61; 1820 Wm Clark , #26 Amy died 4/11/1872 and is buried in Fluvanna cemetary. Stephen in 1850 census in Ellicott, NY. He does not show in 1860 census. Celistia Curtis (his wife), Savannah and George are in Harmony in 1860. Obits for Stephen and his son Judson show both died in Minnesota. Stephen in 1862, and Judson in 1865.
