"Wm. Ferguson a respected citizen of Exeter, was a visitor to this city Monday. He said there was a very large crowd at the funeral of Mrs. Jas. McCary, Saturday at Concord church where Dr. Campbell of Fayetteville, Ark., delivered an able funeral sermon for the benefit of the living. The patience of the deceased in her long suffering was exemplified in a way that should be convincing to the relatives and friends, that she bore that noble fortitude, that means a life of everlasting in the Holy City, where some sweet, sweet day it is the hope of everyone to meet those loved ones that have gone hence."
