I am searching for information on my ggggrandmother Elizabeth Ferguson.  She
married Thomas Hambrick in 1814? in Rocky Mount, Virginia.  Thomas died in
1815.  She subsequently gave birth to 3 illigitimate children by William
Curtain and named them all Hambrick.
Her son Samuel Hambrick was my grgreatgrandfather.  I have been told that
Elizabeth's parents were Isham and Sarah Ferguson.  Any information will be
appreciated.

Thanks to all the Fergusons who responded to my query-

I will be much indebted for any info you have on the Rocky Mount Fergusons.
Sorry it took so long to respond-  I work as a 911 oper. and with hurricane
Georges things got kinda hectic.

I was told by a Hambrick genealogist that the proof that my Samuel Hambrick
is really a Curtain/Ferguson is in the will of William B. Curtain in which
he leaves land to his 3 children by Elizabeth Ferguson.  Elizabeth Ferguson
Hambrick claimed the inheritance.
I do not yet have a copy of the will. Have been too busy to send for it.
