She was married twice, first to Thomas Winn Wright and then to Harry Mason. Her b. Dec 30, 1899, d. Dec 1987 In Illinois. She was born in Illinois. John James Ferguson married Nora Edith Hood Feb 25, 1899 in Franklin County, Ill. daughter Helen Nancy Ferguson b Dec 30, 1899. Does this ring a bell anyone. As of yet I haven't heard about many Illinois Ferguson's.

I now have more accurate information. The ancestor I am looking for is William Ferguson. He was born ca. 1850 in Ayrhire, Scotland. He worked in the coal mines there at age 4. He left for the US at about 12-14. He was in Chilcago for a while. He married at about 19-20 and worked in the coal mines in Southern Illinois and lived in West Frankfort, Ill. He died ca. 1939 at age 87. He had at least a son, John James Ferguson, who married Nora Hood. They were the parents of my Grandmother, Helen Nancy Ferguson. Any info on William and his ancestry would be appreciated.

I am searching for the mother of John James Ferguson, born ca 1878, in West Frankfurt , Ill. His father William was born in 1852 in Kilbirnie, Ayrshire, Scotland. He emigrated to the US around 1865 according to Ayrshire-Roots.com. He was married in Illinois at about age 19 or 20.. The name of his wife and mother of John James is what I need. As far as I know, John was their only child.
