Does anyone's research contain a James Ferguson, a farmer
in the mid-1800s, near Cooper Center, Kalamazoo County, MI.
He is believed to have come to Michigan from New York State,
and was employed earlier by the New York Central Railroad.

He had at least 2 children: Alice Ferguson (b.May 10, 1884;
d.1931) who attended Olivet College, Olivet, MI; and Charles
Ferguson who attended Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, MI.

Alice was first married to Adam ELLIOTT of Leicester, NY. They
may have lived near Orangeville, a village between Kalamazoo
and Hastings, MI. 2 children resulted from this union: Alice May
and Walter.

She was married (2) to Richard TWAY who may have been from
Chicago, IL. One child came from this marriage: Grace Opal
(1887-1976).

A third marriage was to a VAN ALSTINE of NY. No other details.

Can anyone make a connection with this data?
