"Subject: [Ferguson] John Ferguson, Lexington, Kentucky, 1810"
"Dear Ferguson Family Listers,"
"I am new to this list and am trying to track down my g-g-g-grandmother, Mary
Ferguson, who was born in Lexington, Kentucky in 1816. She was the daughter of
John Ferguson and Mary W. Marshall who were married in Lexington in 1808."
I believe the Fergusons were planters and moved to Kentucky in the late 1790s
from Virginia. But if anyone could help me clarify this family line I would be
very grateful.
"Mary Ferguson, after being widowed, married William Van Doren who was the first
professor at Westminster College in Missouri. Ruined during the Civil War, they
eventually made their way to Watsonville, California."
I'd be grateful for any help.
"Sincerely yours,"
Jeff Richards
