I've been following this thread as I can do so on Rootsweb for Ferguson 
in US and I think I'm still on the UK list, but haven't heard anything 
from them in a while so I'm not sure.

Long ago I responded to something regarding joining Clan Ferguson 
but my health is awful so thought I wouldn't be able to participate 
and would waste my money.  I do go to the highland games here in UT 
when I can so that's my idea of participation.

I plead guilty to being one of those who attaches on to cousin 
Christie Cerone's research.  I've also been sent citations from 
Christie and two other cousins who have worked with her in proving 
our line. So what she said down through John and Mary (Gill) Ferguson.  
Then on to son John Jr. and unknown and to their children.   
From there I descend from son Archibald and Fanny (Hix) Ferguson.  
Their daughters 
(1)Catherine, and after her death, 
(2)Elizabeth N R "Eliza" Ferguson both married James Leftwich Doss.  
I then descend from Catherine's daughter Sarah Jane Doss who 
married a Hodges.  They were my great-grandparents.  I am in UTAH.
