Andrew J. Ferguson b 1805 NC m Elizabeth Fray. They were from Wilkes co, NC. Many researchers have thought they were part of the John Ferguson line (yours) I did research that line and determined that it wasn't part of Andrew's line. Your John Ferguson was from Buncombe co, NC If you will go to the Claiborne co Gen Web site, you will probably find a link to the 'Claiborne County Project' that has lots of info on these Ferguson's. My Ferguson's that I can't connect to parents from Wilkes, (Moses, Abner,) went to Bledsoe co, Tn. Could there be a connection? Hortense Abbott says in her book that they didn't migrate from Scotland in that generation. She said that Richard and Nancy both said on the 1850 census that they were born in Va. John Foster said on the 1880 census that his father was born in Virginia. Margaret
