Subject: Ferguson, Geo W.(1817-1856):  PA > MO > KS

Seeking ancestors and other family of George W. Ferguson who was born in
Pennsylvania in 1817.  He is said to have served in the Mexican War.  He was
living in Lee Twp., Platte Co., MO in 1850 but moved to Kansas shortly
thereafter and was listed in the 1855 census in the 16th Dist.  Proabably died
in or near Wyandotte City or Leavenworth, KS in 1856.

In 1844 he married Sarah Ann BRIDGES in Platte Co., MO and she may have been
the daughter of Thomas and Nancy Bridges who lived nearby.  The children of
George W. Ferguson and Sarah Ann BRIDGES were:
1.  Margaret 1845 in Platte Co., MO -bef 1923 in Seattle, WA (never married)
2.  Lucretia Jane 1847 in Platte Co., MO - 1937 in Seattle, WA
3.  George W. 1853 in Wyandotte Co., KS - aft 1902 in Seattle, WA

Lucretia married Robert Wood RICKARD in Wyandotte Co., KS in 1868 and they had
the following children:
1.  Minnie Mae 1868 in Wyandotte Co., KS - 1928 in Seattle, WA
2.  George Lewis ("Tex Rickard") 1870 in Wyandotte Co., KS - 1929 in Miami, FL
3.  Merlin F. 1872 in Wyandotte Co., KS
4.  Robert W. 1875 in Clay Co., TX - ca 1890 in Clay Co., TX
5. Annie Katherine 1877 in Clay Co., TX - 1915 in Seattle, WA
6. Alice J. 1880 in Clay Co., TX - aft 1937 in prob Seattle, WA
