I want to thank you for all the wonderful info on the FergusonS.  My father
was a Ferguson and I have had difficulty finding the connections.  They were
mostly TN and later to Iowa.  Thanks again.  I hope to find this soon. TTYL

My G. Grandfather Francis "Frank" Don Ferguson was b 22 May 1814 in Blount
Co., TN. d 30 Mar. 1872 -Iowa?  mar. Louisa NOBLETT - 24 Spt. 1832 Blount
Co., TN  She was b 25 Dec. 1816 NC/TN ? Dau of Thomas NOBLETT, They were
QUAKERS, and the Fergusons were Presbyterian. "Frank" and Louisa NOBLETT had
10 children and moved to McNairy Co., TN. "Frank" and his bro. Josiah "Joe"
Kennedy Ferguson were close and mar. sisters. "Joe" mar. Catherine NOBLETT.
The Fergusons visited IL, KY, OH and  Iowa.  The "War between the STATES" was
a hardship and caused many problems during the 1860 & 70's. Have not been
able to get correct info from IOWA. Relatives cannot locate and the
Washington Co., IOWA, would not answer. Frank had a dau Mary Catherin
Ferguson b 18 Dec. 1848, McNairy Co., TN. mar Abraham "Abe" TWiINMAN 19 Feb.
1867, moved to Crawfordsville, Washington Co., IOWA. When Frank's wife Louisa
died he may have gone to Iowa There may have been a step-mother (no name)
 Small children were not welcome and went to live with others or out on their
own. Difficult times in TN. Bro. "Joe" was shot in his own home by a
BUSHWACKER, murderer not named, "Joe" was a Mason, and a special Memorial
service was held for him at a stated meeting on the 3rd Sep. 1864. Berlin
Masonic Lodge #170, Saulsbury, Hardeman Co., TN.
"Frank" gave two acres of land to a Ramah Presbyterian Church and school
house located in Saulsbury, TN Deed dated 28th Jan. 1857, signed F.D.
Ferguson, witness John Glap & John Ferguson. If anyone can help plese

My G. Grandfather- Francis Don Ferguson, was b 1814 in Blount Co., TN he mar.
Louisa NOBLETT. I'm trying to locate his G. Grandfather. I have research on
his father John Ferguson b 29 Nov 1778. Bladersbury, MD. mar Margaret (Carson
) Ferguson  living in Washington Co. TN. The John Ferguson  that was his
father in confusing. I don't seem to be able to match some research I have
received on this early TN Family. His wife was maybe a Jane or a Jeane ?, and
I find a list of children.  Later I find another John Ferguson  and some
children, and the father of this John Ferguson- could be a Samuel Ferguson
married twice 1. Elizabeth Anderson 2. Elizabeth C. BLUE. There is a dropped
stitch between these two generations.  There were Ferguson in OH and some
that came to TN. The major problem seem to be in John Ferguson, died in 1806
Washington Co., TN. mar to Jane or Jeane- 6 daus and 2 sons.  Can anyone help

My G Grand mother Margaret CARSON b 21 Jul 1782, PA  D 1 Jan. 1856, Blount
Co., TN. mar John Ferguson and had 10 children. Lived in Meadow, TN. and had
a 300 acre farm.  I understand this is now Greenback, TN. They attended Big
Springs Presby Church and were buried in this cemetery.  Their children  John
Ferguson 1801, Andrew Ferguson1805, Mar. Susan CARSON, James Alexander
Ferguson 1807, Samuel Robert Ferguson 1810, Josiah Kennedy Ferguson, 1812,
mar Catherine NOBLETT My G Grandfather Francis "Frank" Don Ferguson 1814, mar
Louisa NOBLETT,  Margaret Elia. Ferguson 1816, Nancy Jane Ferguson 1818,
Rachel B. Ferguson 1820, and Mary Adaline Ferguson, 1824. I  have been told
that the CARSON' s included the name DUNCAN.  This is not very clear.  I was
told that  Kit CARSON was in this family.  Margaret CARSON had a brother
Robert CARSON and he mar. Mary DUNCAN.  I also believe a David CARSON was
first pastor of a small Presby church in early 1800 Washington Co. TN Can
