Hi Sandy - It's so good to see you active again!

June Henson reporting. Interested in all the Ferguson's and related
families. DNA shows that Obadiah Ferguson and William Ferguson (married
Judah Wood) were related. Scotland to Virginia group

I descend from Obadiah, b. abt 1760, died 1847, and Elizabeth (Martin)
Ferguson through their son, Joel Martin who migrated from Lee County, VA to
Wayne County, VA (WV). Obadiah's and Elizabeth's other sons were: WILLIAM -
died in War of 1812; JOHN - died in Lee County, VA; and HENRY, died in Lee
County, VA.
Children of Obadiah and second wife (probably Elizabeth Bowen, d/o of Reuben
and Sarah Hicks Bowen) were: ELIZABETH, b. 1830, married James Gilbert
Chrisman and migrated with the Chrisman family to Christian County,
Missouri; OBADIAH, b. 1833 and died UNK; GEORGE W., b. 1835, migrated to
Christian County, MO with wife, Louisa Hammond, and died as a casualty of
the Civil War, buried in King Cemetery, Christian County, MO; REUBEN
BOWEN, b. 1839, died UNK; and SARAH H. b. 1841, died UNK.
One of Henry Ferguson's children, ELIZABETH MARTIN, b. 2 May 1825, Lee
County, VA, married William Chandler, s/o Allen and Sarah (Huddleston)
Chandler. They moved to Collin County, Texas, and died there in January of
1876.

Best Wishes,
June
