Ferguson, Estey,
John H. Ferguson born abt. 1841 New York
1850 WI census? (question mark is, there is a John H. Ferguson living,
with his father and mother, down the street from the Estey family in the 1850
WI census. This John H. Ferguson was born in New York abt. 1841 as was my
John H. Ferguson. This would be the same Estey family that my John H.
Ferguson married into. But I've not made a positive connection between the
Ferguson family in the 1850 census and my family. I keep asking myself how
many John H. Fergusons could Ruth Estey know but I've just can't find that
positive link.)
1860 Marathon County, Wisconsin
1865 20th Wisconsin Infantry
1870 Rock County, Minnesota (a lot of history here)
1880 Colby Town, (what now is Clark County) Wisconsin
Ruth E. Estey, Wife to John H. Ferguson, born New Brunswick 1844, Canada
I have the Estey back to the early 1500. She died abt. 1827 Portland Oregon
Children:
Effie E. Ferguson born 1869 Rock County, MN (first white child born
in county)
Austin B. Ferguson born 1871 Rock County, MN (my line) Died, WI 1903
(saw mill accident)
Nellie Eliza Parker born WI (have Parker family back to 1755 NY)
died Aston County, WA.
Some good information on this line up till 2002
Troy Ferguson born 1873 MN Died North Idaho (Train accident)
Vic Ferguson born 1876 MN
Ray Ferguson born 1878 MN (lived in northwestern MT early 1900s)
All of John and Ruth children, except Austin, moved to the Pacific Northwest.
Austin's family, after his death, moved to Aston County, Washington around
1903
John is as far back as I have documentation on, unless I make a link to the
1850 WI census. Then John's father would be Spencer Ferguson. Census state
Spencer is out of VT.
If you have a connection to this family or just Fergusons in the same area at
the same time, lets talk
