Looking for my great grandmother. A printed family history of the
Merrills gives this information: Hattie Fergessen, born 1871, married
Sept. 1889 to James Adelbert MERRILL, died 20 Oct 1926 in Portland,
Oregon. My grandfather was born in Carroll, Iowa. I doubt that the
spelling of Hattie's maiden name is correct, the connection to Carroll,
Iowa and the facts relating to life and death in Oregon are all that
seem certain at this point.  Any information or leads greatly
appreciated.
