Looking for the parents of Zacharias Joseph Ferguson b.7/28/1851 in New York
d.7/1/1894 in Arkansas. Zacharias was an engineer for the Illinios Central RR
in Jackson TN and later the Cottonbelt Line at Pine Bluff AR. He was killed in
a train wreck on July 1, 1894 on a run between Pine Bluff and Shreveport, LA.
He was married to Eliza Jane Taylor or Golden 8/1/1856 - 3/31/1931.

From bits and pieces of information passed down over the years, We think his
fathers name was Joseph or Jerome but don't know for sure. Both of Zacharias's
parent were supposedly from Dublin Ireland and Zach born shortly after they
arrived in this Country. The family was said to have moved south and Zach's
father fought for the south in the Civil War.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Gene / Eve,
Thanks for the reply but I don't have any Elias & Missouri Ferguson in my
information. I did check the census data and found your Elias Ferguson in
Marshall County, MS in the 1840, 1850, & 1860 census records. If you don't
have access to those I will be glad to send you that information. I can
find my Zacharias Ferguson in Jackson TN in 1880 census but just cannot find
any record of him prior to 1880. It is almost like he just did not exist
before 1880. I have been working on this for years with no results.

If I can help you please let me know.

Thanks,

Rudy Caldwell
