piano & ukulele by ear. There was
always a crowd at the house; poor but
had a lot of fun. No cars, walked everywhere...
On 15 Dec 1932 when Alexandria "Ella" was
21, she married Guiseppe "Joe"
MESSINA, son of Vincenzo MESSINA &
Teresa ROMANO. Born on 18 Oct 1912 in
Naples, Italy. Guiseppe "Joe" died in

He was 75.

St., died suddenly on Thrusday
while visiting the home of her sister.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter
of the late Daniel and Sarah (MacLeod)
Ferguson. She was a graduate of
Lynn English High School class of 1931
and was a lifelong resident of the
city. Until her retirement in 1974
she was employed at the General
Electric Co., West Lynn Works, for
34 years. She was a member of
St. Stephen's Memorial Episcopal Church,
Local 201 IUE, AFL-CIO, and the
General Electric Quarter Century Club.
She leaves one brother, Charles
S. Fowler; three sisters, Alexandria
"Ella" Messina, Johanna Mulcahy, and Bernice
G. Ferguson, all of Lynn,
and several nieces and nephews. She was
the sister of the late
Kenneth D. Ferguson.
Her funeral will be held
from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home,
157 Maple St., Lynn, Monday at 9
a.m. Funeral Service in
St. Stephen's Memorial Episcopal Church
at 10 a.m. Burial will be in
Pine Grove Cemetery.

daughter of the late Daniel and Sarah
(McLeod) Ferguson. She attended
Lynn schools and lived in Lynn for most
of her life. Mrs. Mulcahy was a homemaker. She was actve in St. Stephen's
Memorial Episcopal Church
activities for several years. She leaves
two sons, Daniel M. Mulcahy
of Lynn and Dennis P. Mulcahy of Peabody;
five daughters,
Bernice A. LeJeune of Seabrook, N.H.,
Mary L. Suffreti of Lynn,
Marian L. Feinberg of Lynn, Marcella A.

both of Amsbury; a brother, Charles Fowler
of Lynn; two sisters,
Bernice Ferguson and Alexandria Messina,
both of Lynn. She also
leaves 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,
and several nieces
and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday
at 10 a.m. at the
Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St.,
with the Rev. Jerry Hardy,
rector, St Stephen's Episcopal Church,
officiating. Burial
will be in Pine Grove Cemetery."
