My great-grandfather, Boone Roman YATES, and his brother Wes were raised by
a man known as "Fate" Ferguson. My grandfather told me that Fate's real name
was Lafayette.  My grandmother said that
Fate died when she was a little girl, but it was before her brother died,
which would put his death between 1927-1937 in or near Keota, OK.

Boone YATES was born March 14, 1887 in TX.

I'm sorry the information is so vague, but it's all I have.

I was wondering if, while researching the Ferguson's, anyone has come across
a Boone or Wes YATES?
