My name is June Beason.  I am looking for any information that I can find on
the parents and siblings of David Craig Ferguson.  I know that he was born 10
Sept. 1831 in Beaver Co., PA.  His father was supposedly Samuel Ferguson. His
mother maybe Mary Ament.  Her name is questionable.  David Craig Ferguson was
apparently the youngest of 14 children.  His siblings were:  Margaret, b. 20
Aug 1800; Catherine, b. 28 June 1802; Mary, b. 29 June 1804; George, b. 24
Apr. 1807 (believe he went to IN); Eliza, b. 20 Aug. 1809; James, b. 9 Feb.
1812; Peter, b. 1 Mar. 1814; Samuel, b. 4 Aug. 1816; Jane, b. 28 Feb. 1819;
Susanna, b. 28 Feb. 1819; Rebekah, b. 3 Dec. 1820; Rachel, b. 9 May 1823;
Sarah, b. 21 Mar. 1826 (living in KS unmarried in 1892).  

David C. Ferguson married 29 Mar. 1876.  His CW pension papers indicates that
he was never married before this.  He married Sophronia Siegel in Madison Co.,
IA.  He died 6 Jul. 1882 in Cherokee Co., IA.  He had also lived in Cass Co.,
IA.  His burial record says he had been living in the state of IA for 25
years.  But he was apparently not a head of household before 1880 as I have
been unable to find him in the census indexes for 1860 and 1870.  He was not
living in Madison Co. IA in 1870 either.

David C. Ferguson and Sophronia Siegel had 3 children, all girls.  They are:
Rose Mary, b. 14 Apr. 1877, m. 6 Feb. 1907 in IA City, Johnson Co., IA to J.
William Rawn; Vida Ann Rachel, b. 19 Oct. 1879, m. 13 Sept. 1908 to John
Richard Kenney in Alta, Buena Vista Co., IA, d. 9 May 1910 in Presho, Lyman
Co., SD; Sarah Elizabeth, b. 15 Oct. 1881, m. 24 Dec. 1902 to George Crawford
Isbell in Cherokee Co., IA, d. 19 Apr. 1971 in Correctionville, Woodbury Co.,
IA.

I sure would appreciate any help anyone could give me on this family.  David
C. seems to have disappeared from his birth in 1831 until his marriage in
1876.
