"Looking for the parents, grandparents and greatgrandparents of Benjamin Franklin Ferguson born Cumberland/Clinton County KY 7May1802 married Susan Sandusky in 1820, moved to Morgan County IL in 1831."
Been told Ben is son of Champion (b abt 1777) and uncle to Champ the Rebel. But no one seems to quote reliable sources and no one seems to know Champion's father who probably would have been born about 1747 + or - 5yrs. Help to solve this mystery........Please?

Subject: Edward Harvey Ferguson
Edward Harvey Ferguson b: 1887 Alexander, IL was my Grandfather. He was the
son of William Tunnell Ferguson. The tree (going backwards) is like this:
Me: Carolyn b: 1947 IL
William Grant Ferguson b: 1912 IL
Edward Harvey Ferguson b: 1887 IL
William Tunnell Ferguson b: 1858 IL
Anthony J Ferguson b: 1836 IL
Benjamin Franklin Ferguson b: 1802 KY
Champion Ferguson b: 1777/78 VA?
?? THINK a William Ferguson who married a lady named Lucy (LNU?) Or else the
William who married Judah Wood

Anyway, cannot locate anything on Champion's Father, but right now, he's not
my worry.

My current problem is my Grandparents. I cannot locate and do not know where
to look to find info on Edward Harvey Ferguson and his wife Nora Mae Wilson.
They married in St Louis or Alexander in 1908. Between 1911 and 1912 they
moved to Champaign, IL. I lose the paper trail after 1930. I do know they
were living in Oakland CA in 1954 and that Edward died in 1986 in Tucson, AZ
at the age of 99yr, 3mo.
I have no info between 1930-54 on what Edward was doing other than in 1932
he was an Engineer (civilian) at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, IL (from info on my
Dad's Military papers). I have no info between 1954 and 1986 on either of my
grandparents. I don't know what they were doing, how long they lived in
California or when my Grandmother died. Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
