The Register runs through from 1782 to the present date.  In 1852 the records become very satisfactory, giving race, parent’s names, the residence of both parties and further detail.

The Register from which this data was taken is a transcript.  If there is an older one it was not brought out.  This one is considered the official copy.  The other records of the county appear to be complete to date and in good condition.
