Pages 126-127 - To all to whom these presents shall come I Mounting Adams in pursuance of the Last Will and Testament of my well beloved Husband Robert Adams deced as well as to Requite the dutifull and Tender usage of my Sons Robertt and James Adams likewise for divers good causes but more especially for the sum of Five shillings to me paid by each of my said Sons Robert & James Adams have given unto my said Sons Robert Adams and James Adams & to their heirs all and Singular my goods Chattles and Slaves to Witt Toby, Benn. Moll. Suky, Sarah. Betty. Charles, Brister & Edy with their future increase including all the Estate I hold in trust for my natural life and widowhood by the Last Will and Testament of my said Deseas’d Husband To Have and To Hold unto my Sons Robert and James Adams and to their Heirs forever to be equally divided between them Provided Always that I the said Mounging Adams shall be at full liberty to use and enjoy all and Singular the Slaves and other Estate without the Hindrance of my said Sons during my natural live Provided Likewise that my said Sons Robert and James Adams their heirs do after my decease cause to be paid unto each of my Daughters to Witt Anna Sanders forty shillings. Judith Clarke forty shillings Mary Moreman Twenty pounds; Elizabeth Moreman Twenty pounds. [I’m not sure who this Daniel Fargason was. A Daniel Ferguson married Nancy Estin in Albemarle Co. 28 Dec 1791. I don’t know Daniel’s parents, but Nancy Eastin was the daughter of William Eastin and Mary Ann Ferguson. She might have been the sister of Judith Ferguson who married James Whittle Flanagan. They all deeded land to Daniel Ferguson in Albemarle Co. I also have a note from Shirley Doran that Mary Easton (Mary Ann Ferguson Eastin???) deeded land to Lawrence and Daniel Ferguson in Albemarle Co.]

One thousand seven hundred & Sixty nine Between John Mechie of Albemarle County of one part and WILLIAM FERGUSON of other Witnesseth that John Mechie for divers good causes and considerations him hereunto moving but more especially for and in consideration of the special regard and friendship that he has unto said FERGUSON by these presents doth give grant & confirm unto WILLIAM FERGUSON his heirs a certain tract of land lying on MEACHUMS RIVER on the North side of the said River and running thence on new lines North twenty five degrees West sixteen poles to a Corner white Oak, thence North seventy degrees West to a corner Pine, thence South seventy four degrees West fifty two poles a Corner Pine, thence South ten degrees West ninety poles to a corner Pine on the North side of MOREMANS RIVER, thence down the same to MEACHUMS RIVER and down by the meanders to the first station To have & to hold the said One hundred acres of land together with all its several appurtenances to said WILLIAM FERGUSON & his heirs In Witness whereof said JOHN MECHIE doth hereunto set his hand and Seal the date above written
